    We Go the Extra Mile for Students

    In the Graduate Programs Office, we understand that distance and online students have unique needs compared to traditional campus-based students. We make sure that your distance from campus does not prevent you from obtaining the same services that are available to campus-based students. The Graduate Programs staff will either provide the service directly or facilitate your connection to the service on campus. A partial list of these services follows.     PSU Library Distance Learning Support
    Full scale access to the Library via the web for distance learning students including interlibrary loan, document delivery and electronic access to online databases and full text publications.

    School of Business Career Services
    Provides business students with the assistance and resources needed to develop career management skills, conduct job searches and connect with Oregon businesses.

    PSU Career Center
    Assists students and alumni with career development and job search needs and coordinates an on-campus recruiting program where employers interview seniors on campus for career positions.

    Portland State Bookstore
    A full scale bookstore where students may purchase textbooks and other items. Also provides substantial discounts on computer hardware and software to enrolled students.

    Student Helpdesk (User Support Services)
    Provides assistance in the use of computer hardware and software, networking, accessing the network from off-campus, obtaining an e-mail/network account, and much more.

    Distributed Education and WebCT
    Provides a wide range of educational technology services and support to students and staff including administration of WebCT, our primary online course management system.

    Office of Financial Aid
    Financial aid benefits that are available to campus-based part-time graduate students are also available to distance learning students. The School of Business also has student scholarships that distance students may apply for.

    Writing Center
    Provides help with writing at any level and in any discipline. Consultants assist writers with getting thoughts on paper, revising work in progress, interpreting assignments, and working with documentation styles such as MLA and APA.

    Transcript Requests
    Provides step by step instructions on how to request a copy of your PSU transcripts.
